9.3.0. CT-PET Fusion & SUV
In this section, the user will learn how to use the positron emission tomography–computed tomography (better known as PET-CT or PET/CT) fusion tool along with the standardized uptake value (SUV).
Fusion requirements
There are some restrictions on the kinds of source images upon which Image Fusion will happen:
1. There’s an intersection between the two series.
2. The two series should have the same orientation.
3.Each of the series’ instances must have the same orientation.
4.The series to be fused must contain at least 5 instances.
From the modality column in the study worklist, the study needs to contain both CT and PET in the modality column, as shown below:

Predefined viewing protocols (VPs) exist for CT fusion and will be loaded automatically when a fusion study is opened. Any template that contains ‘fusion’ in its name is a predefined template.
