2.1.2. Credential Safety
The login screen where you provide your username and password should be considered an extra measure of protection and should be used in conjunction with other best practices such as:
1. Use a strong password, preferably by combining letters, a capital letter and numbers
2. Close the workstation application or lock the computer when away from the keyboard
3. Physically secure access to the computer itself
4. Do not share your credentials with others to secure the patients’ information as every user has their own privileges and rights on the electronic patient information and records
5. Do not use ‘Save password’ options offered by Web Browsers, as this may let your account to be used by other persons who should not use the application with your privileges on the Patient Health records.
